WILFRED JAMES FAVEL May 16, 1929 - April 18, 2003 Peacefully in his sleep, Wilfred (Bill) Favel, with his family at his side passed away on Friday, April 18, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 73. Wilfred was predeceased by his son Donald, sister Mary, mother Cecil and brother Cliff. Wilfred is survived by his brother Joe (Doris), his wife Betty Anne, sons, Leonard, Dean, Brian and John; daughters, Debbie Anne and Joan; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad was proud to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Korean campaign. He was very musically inclined and loved to entertain family and friends. Dad will always be remembered for his friendly laughter and gestures towards those he cared about. For this we honor our brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, who we will miss dearly. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Jim, Howard, Dennis and James McNabb, Bobby and Garry Laporte. Pallbearers will be his sons-in-law, James Sr., Frank, Mike, grandsons, David, Matthew and James Jr. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 1:00 p.m. also at Cropo Chapel with interment following at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Riverview Health Centre, 3E and Mary Chartrand for their special care of our Dad.
