Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL DOEPKER 1921 - 2003 Peacefully on April 20, 2003, Easter Sunday, at Central Park Lodge, Ethel Doepker, aged 82 years, went to be with her "Lord and Saviour". Ethel was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Maxwell Edward (Max). Ethel was our very special Mom, Grams, Great-Gram, Aunt, Friend and Neighbor. Ethel will be lovingly missed by all including her seven children, Dale (Marge), Barbara (Don), Robert (Tina), Carol, Ron (Val - predeceased March 4, 2003), Maxine (Sherwin), Janet (Danny) as well as 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ethel also leaves behind to mourn, her sisters, Dorothy (John), Marlene (Art) also brothers, Wesley, Glen (Lana) and sister-in-law Rachelle Fidler; among many nieces and nephews. Ethel was born in Selkirk, MB March 15, 1921. Ethel was a loving and caring wife, mother and a gentle grandmother with a kind and soft soul. Mom loved being with her family and her family always loved being with her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff on sixth and seventh floor of Central Park Lodge for their care to Ethel. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ethel may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
