Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTE) MARIE LOEWEN (HARMS) On Saturday, April 19, 2003 Elizabeth (Bette) Marie Loewen aged 62 at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, peacefully, with her family by her side. Elizabeth was born on December 4, 1940 in Morris, MB to Isaac and Katherine Harms. She was raised on the family farm and attended school in Rosenhoff. Elizabeth worked in the local school for many years and later on in life worked as a Nanny. On December 22, 1957 Elizabeth married Lorne Loewen of Winkler, MB. They had four children, Jacquelyn, Roland, Kara and Patrick. Elizabeth was a very kind and giving person whose smile would brighten anyones day. She loved life and lived each day to the fullest. She was enjoying her retirement, having her grandchildren over for sleep overs, going for walks, reading books, and baking buns for anyone who wanted them. Elizabeth leaves a strong legacy of her faith in Jesus Christ. Elizabeth is survived by her four children, daughter Jackie (Ernie) grandsons Ryan and Kendal; son Roland (Enid) granddaughter Natasha; daughter Kara (Cameron) granddaughter Shaelyn; grandson Dylan; son Patrick (Carole) granddog Max. Elizabeth is also survived by her brothers Frank (Tina) Harms, Jake (Margaret) Harms and sisters Anne (Joe) Sylvestre, Mary (Johnny) Krueger and their families and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Lorne; mother Katherine and father Isaac. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the nurses and department staff at the Riverview Health Centre (wing 3 East) for their excellent care and compassion, and for supporting our entire family during this most difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., with public viewing one hour prior. Interment to follow at the St. Vital Cemetery.
