RON SCOTT Peacefully, on April 16, 2003 at St. Josephs Hospital, Comox, BC, in his 88th year. Born in Gillingham, Kent, England, Ron came to Canada with his parents at an early age. He spent his younger years with his family in Wawanesa, MB and was a veteran of the Second World War and the Korean War. Ron worked in Northern Manitoba for many years, then in British Columbia, and finally moved to Denman Island, BC, where he resided until his death. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Alford C. and Kate (Eaton) Scott; his brother Robert; and sister Joan Henderson; and is survived by one sister Mary Chapman of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. His family would like to sincerely thank Rons many friends and caregivers on Denman Island for their kindness to him over the past years and for helping him remain independent and in his own home until the end. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in the Scott family plot in Wawanesa, MB, on Thursday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Margaret Kristjansson presiding.
