Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAZMIR SHUMILAK September 10, 1911 - April 21, 2003 Peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Beausejour Hospital, Beausejour, MB, Kazmir Shumilak, beloved husband of Jean Shumilak of Beausejour, passed away. Besides his loving wife Jean, he is survived by a sister Caroline Golembioski, brother-in-law Edward Shumilak and a brother-in-law Peter Benzik as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kazmir was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Pauline Shumilak; sisters, Mary Chryplywy (Wasyl), Gladis Schultz (Stanley), Celia Benzik, Victoria Kozier (Anton) and a brother Stanley; as well as a sister-in-law Bernice Shumilak. Kazmir farmed the family homestead in the Ladywood area for many years and eventually retired to Beausejour. Prayers will be said on Thursday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Joseph Polish National Church, Beausejour, with Fr. Wesley Cwieka officiating. Pallbearers will be Edward Bukoski, Wayne Hladki, Rick Hladki, Lloyd Mazur, Bernard Shumilak and Ronald Galay. Services will terminate at the church, with cremation to follow.
