Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAPTAIN BILL PARK In White Rock, BC, April 17, 2003 after a brief illness. Bill was born in Winnipeg, MB, July 18, 1938. His early schooling was in Headingley, MB, moving back to Winnipeg at age 10 to complete his schooling at Grandin School in Fort Garry. Bill later trained as a commercial pilot, and worked first as an instructor, then as a bush pilot mainly in the Sioux Lookout region of northwestern Ontario. He began his airline career at Transair in Winnipeg in August, 1972, and through mergers, retired in 1998 as a Captain on the Boeing 737 for Canadian Airlines International after 26 years of service. Bill will be remembered as a gentleman, professional, and a man of good humour. He will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he touched. It is with great sorrow that we say good-bye. Bill was predeceased by parents, Mary and Alex Park; and survived by daughter Shannon (Scott) Beesley; and his two sons, Shawn and Shane. Also grandchildren, Brian and Madeleine Beesley. Also his brother Jim (Jean) and sisters, Noreen (Bob) Hale, and Elva Turnbull; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral service and internment to be held Wednesday, April 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Victory Gardens Funeral Home, 14831-28th Ave., Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
