HELEN M. HICKLING Helen passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre. Helen was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Hickling; her parents, The Right Honourable James L. Bowman (Anne) her sister Ruth M. Brekke (Doug) and her brother Jack Bowman (Gerry). She is survived by her nephews, James M. Brekke (Eva), Bruce Brekke, Bill Bowman (Ann) and also by Dr. Bill Rennie (Norma) and Dr. Bob Rennie (Bonnie) her nieces, Cheryl Harasyn (Paul) and Diane Farrel (Jim) as well as her many great-nieces and nephews. She had so many wonderful friends who she deeply cared for, Jesse Lange, Lynn Ransby, Helen Little and Jean Teal of Victoria, BC. Also a special friend and neighbour, Kendall Bingeman, who kept watch over both Helen and Uncle Charles for so many years. Helen was born on August 6, 1914 in Dauphin, MB where set attended high school. She eventually received her law degree from the University of Manitoba. Helens life was lived to the fullest, she excelled at the game of golf and was also an accomplished Bridge player, as her many friends and partners will attest to. She will be remembered as always looking for the best in others and giving the best she had. She has left this world a better place. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow at Chapel Lawn.
