Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE SESAK January 9, 1902 - April 22, 2003 Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, Steve Sesak, aged 101, passed away at Rivereast Personal Care Home with his family by his side. Steve was predeceased by his wife Katherine in 1970; his parents, Michael and Mary; four siblings; sons-in-law, Patrick Burns in 1996 and Ronald Tighe in 2003. Steve will be sadly missed by his daughters, Adeline Burns, and Jean Tighe; son James (Mayvis) seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve was born in the Western Ukraine and came to Canada in 1910 with his parents. He met and married Katherine and together raised their family in East Kildonan. He worked as a Printing Pressman for T.W. Taylor Co. until retirement in 1968. Dad loved to travel and traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, California and across Canada as well as many day tours that he helped organize with the East Kildonan - Transcona Seniors Tour Committee. He was involved with the Winnipeg Senior Citizens Choirs and enjoyed other seniors clubs and thoroughly enjoyed dancing. Steve served in the Army Reserve (Winnipeg Light Infantry) from 1941 to 1951, leaving with the rank of Company Quarter-Master Sergeant. He was also an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 81. Steve was a loving father, grandfather and great-grand-father and we will all miss him. The family wishes to thank Rivereast Personal Care Home for their compassionate and loving care of our dad over the years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Rev. Fr. Gerry Ward officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before service. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Steves memory to a charity of ones choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
