Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGUISEPPE (JOSEPH) SCALETTA 1913 - 2003 On April 23, 2003, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, passed peacefully. Joe is survived by his wife Erika; daughter Guiseppina (Antonio) son Ignazio (Leslie) grandchildren, Daniel, Claudia, Loridana (Alberto) and great-grandson Antonio. He has left to mourn many nieces and nephews who always fondly referred to him as "Uncle Joe". Guiseppe was born in Termini Immerse, Sicily on March 27, 1913 and immigrated to Canada in 1949 after having served in the Second World War and as a Carabiniere in Sardinia. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, the Sicilian Club, and the Holy Rosary Church. Prayers will be held on Sunday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church with Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. also in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Father Sam Argenziano officiating. Pallbeareers will be Daniel Scaletta, Antonio Scire, Vincent Scaletta, Salvatore Scaletta, Roberto Scaletta and Tony Sarraino. The family wishes to thank the staff on 4E at St. Boniface Hospital for their supportive kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Joes memory to the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0E1.
