MARGUERITE IDELLE STREET Suddenly, on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at her residence, Marguerite Idelle Street of Portage la Prairie, passed away at the age of 77 years. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, MB on Friday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Friday, April 25 at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Ross Taylor officiating. Marg was born on February 11, 1926, daughter of Marguerite and Thorpe Crawford at Neepawa, where she was raised and received her education. After completing her schooling she attended the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, graduating as a Medical, X-ray and Encephalographic Technician. She then worked at the Manitoba School for many years. In 1959 she married Dan Street and they lived in Portage. Before she was married she curled with and was the past President of the Ladies Evening Curling Club. She was Secretary and Treasurer for the Portage Boat Club and was an avid participant of the Manitoba Boat Racing Association. In retirement Marg enjoyed knitting and sewing, especially for her grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Dan in 1998, she leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Sandy and husband Ron Brooks of Portage and grandsons, Jordan and Ryan, daughter Shelley Street and her partner Tim Heldt of Winnipeg and grandson Raymond. Also surviving is one sister Lucille (John) McLaren of Winnipeg and several nieces and nephews. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Margs name to the charity of ones choice.
