SUSAN LYNNE HOGLUND (nee PLASESKI) On April 23, 2003, at the age of 46 years, Susan passed away peacefully in Winnipeg with her family at her side. After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Susan leaves to mourn her loving husband Ken, their son Brett, their daughter Kelda and partner Garrett Bruce: her parents, Emily and Paul Plaseski; sister Judy Weller and brother-in-law Bob; brother Rick and partner Mike Gosselin; sister-in-laws, Fran and husband Ted Besko, Linda and partner Joe Ollman, Judy and husband Wayne Hykaway; brother-in-law Gerry and wife Julie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Susan was a wonderful, loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Susan took pride in Brett and Keldas accomplishments and successes. Her only regret was not being a grandmother, as she loved children and nurturing all living things. She was a gardener, a quilter, an avid reader, and a caregiver who had a passion for making all things beautiful. Her quest for travel was relentless, as she loved to experience other cultures. She had a keen sense of style and home decorating. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Throughout her life, Susan lived and worked in Thompson, Minnedosa and was residing in Winnipeg at the time of her passing. Special thanks to Dr. Maksymiuk and Mona, Dr. Butler, CancerCare Manitoba - Radiation Department and the chemo staff, the nurses and staff of 4A HSC and Riverview Hospital. She never gave up the fight and was an inspiration to all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church at 168 Wilton St., on Saturday, April 26 at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guardian Angel Breast Cancer Benefit. 787-4143.
