Grace was predeceased by her father Henry, her brother Harold and her sister Joan. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her mother Anne, her brother Allan and his wife Florence, and nieces, Bev (Joel Palsson), Valerie McCartney, and Karen (Cam Russell) and great-nephew Thomas Russell. Grace was born in Winnipeg on July 17, 1934 and grew up in Old Kildonan, attending Red River school and later, West Kildonan Collegiate. She was also involved in the Kildonan community church. She worked for the T. Eaton Co. until she was married in Hawaii and lived there until her husband was transferred to the southern United States. She lived in Louisiana for a number of years before returning to Winnipeg to help care for her mother and father. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Rev. Brenda Fraser officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of Graces friends who were so faithful in helping her when she was moving and when they visited her in the hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Issac and the nursing staff of 3 West, Concordia Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined.
