ERNEST BERTIL JOHNSON Very suddenly, on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at his home, Ernest died at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Marie Johnson of 53 years of marriage; David (Caroline) and Desiree (Rheal) grandchildren, Michael, Jimmy, Chantal and Michelle; sister Alice (Harold) brothers, Evert (Mel) and Sixten "Sig"; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ernest was predeceased by his mother Ingrid Johnson (1972) father Emil Johnson (1979) brothers, Ture, Ingvar "Don" and Sigurd "Sig"; and sisters, Emily and Ina. Dad served with the Canadian Army overseas in the Provost and Tank Corp. He worked for the CPR for 35 years. Dad was an avid curler, swimmer and loved to putter. He enjoyed his grandchildren and granddogs. Dad played bridge with the Sturgeon Creekers for a number of years. A reception in Ernies memory will be held in the lower Church Hall in Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave. at Belvidere Street on Tuesday, April 29, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
