STANLEY FREDERIC LEWIS, C.E.T. April 26, 1936 - April 25, 2003 Peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, Stan passed away on April 25, 2003, at the age of 66 years. Stan was predeceased by his mother Evangeline Margareth (nee Loewen) in 1974 and his father Fred Lewis in 1977. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen, his companion and best friend for 43 years; son Darren of Winnipeg; and daughter Heather and friend Alvin Boyles of Toronto, ON; his sister June and husband Arnold Henry of Fort St. John, BC, sister Patricia Lewis of Calgary, AB; and brother James and wife Donna of Neepawa, MB; sister-in-law Nellie Hyduk of Toronto; brother-in-law William Kulik of Hadashville, MB; sister-in-law Mary Henry of Winnipeg, MB, sister-in-law Olive and husband Dr. Desmond Oswald of Gerrards Cross, United Kingdom; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Marianne Krahn and staff and nurses of the Oncology Department of St. Boniface Hospital and Dr. Brent Kvern of the Family Practice Unit. Their skill, patience and understanding helped Stan through a difficult time in his life. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway, on Saturday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Stans memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
