Offer Condolences or MemoryJANINA (IVANNA) TYRAWSKI (nee FEDUN) Janina Tyrawski passed away peacefully in the presence of the Lord on April 23, 2003, at Concordia Hospital, aged 73, surrounded by her family at her side. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Rev. Deacon Stefan (Maria) Tyrawski, Jaroslawa (Marian) Jaworski and Peter (Anna) Tyrawski. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Bohdan and Oksana Tyrawski, Dorotka Jaworski, David, Lucas and Vanessa Tyrawski; her sister Jaroslawa (Edward) Paknis; nieces, Maria (Craig) Gosek and Angela Paknis; as well as numerous relatives and close friends throughout Canada, Poland and Ukraine. Although she leaves behind so many dear relatives and friends, she will join together with her son Wladzimierz, husband Mikolaj, parents Maria and Wladyslaw Fedun and grandson Darek Jaworski in Heaven. Mom was born on August 20, 1929, in Bircza, Poland. Since 1947 she lived in Mlynary, Poland, where she married Mikolaj in 1951. In 1975 she immigrated to Canada with her children and reunited with her sister and mother. She worked for Acme Garment and Olympic Sportswear. In Poland, Janina was a member of the "Living Rosary Prayer Group." She was an active member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral and UCWLC. Mom was also very involved with the Seniors Club, "Zoloti Vorota." The family would like to express their most sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Gorski, Dr. Babick and the doctors and staff at Concordia Hospital. We also give thanks to Metropolitan Michael for his visits and prayers as well as the administering the Sacrament of the Sick. We thank Bishop David and the other priests and deacons for their many prayers, support in faith. Sincere thanks to Mr. Vasyl Welhasch for his friendship, support and help. We put forth appreciation to homecare worker, Mrs. Danuta Augustyn and any others who have offered their help. Prayer will be held on Monday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m., also at the cathedral, with His Grace, Metropolitan Michael Bzdel C.Ss.R. and Bishop David Motiuk officiating, assisted by priests and deacons of Archeparchy including Janinas son, Rev. Deacon Stefan Tyrawski. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery immediately following the liturgy. In lieu of flowers, donations for the Divine Liturgies for the repose of her soul or for the needs of the church would be greatly appreciated.
