MARGARET JOSEPHINE (JO) BAKER (nee McNAMARA) Our dear, sweet Jo died peacefully early Saturday morning, April 26, 2003. She will be held tenderly in the hearts of her family, Frank, Cheryl and Mike, Jim, Lynn, Matt, Nicole, Martial, Logan, Morganne Josephine and Greg. She will be warmly remembered also by her sister-in-law Clara Baker, her daughter-in-law Jan Graham, and her nieces, nephews and friends. Jo was born February 14, 1913 in Rosser, MB, the second oldest of seven children. She spent her early years working on the dairy farm her family managed. She was very close to her mother, Frank and Jims Granny Mac, and to her siblings who have all predeceased her. Jo met Henry when they worked together at Burns. They were true partners over their 62 years of married life together. Henry predeceased her in August 2002. Jo was a gentle, tolerant, "no-fuss" woman with a sharp and enduring sense of humour. She made a wonderful home for Henry, Frank and Jim. She welcomed her daughters-in-law with love and nurtured her grandchildren, playing with them, teaching them and watching them mature. She enjoyed friendships with her extended family, neighbours, curling buddies, coworkers, fellow campers and more recently, caregivers and fellow personal care home residents. Only briefly did any of us see her "Irish temper". Jo was lovable and kind. She said she wanted to live to be 90 and so she did. It was a well-lived life. Jos family expresses deep appreciation to all of those who helped her and Henry over the past few years, including Sara, Home Care Case Coordinators, especially Dianne Bodner, Home Care workers, Irene, Janet and others, Dr. PG Mehta, and the caring staff of Beacon Hill Lodge. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Jo to your favourite charity would be appreciated. A private family service will be held. Arrangements Entrusted To: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler off Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
