Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDUANE PAUL SIMPSON Passed away peacefully, at home, with loved ones at his bedside on April 27, 2003. Predeceased by his wife Maureen, March 2001, Duane is survived by his son Mark; daughters, Holly (husband Scott Burnette) and Valerie (husband Ross Glays) four grandchildren, Haley, Jared, Greg and Alisa; two sisters, Judie (Malcolm Symons), Deborah (James Duma) and three aunts, Irene Cameron, Bernice Livingston and Mae (George Munroe), as well as loving nephews, nieces and cousins. Duane was a person of strength and conviction. He was employed for over 35 years with the Federal Department of Agriculture, which took him to various communities in his native Manitoba, before he and Maureen transferred out to Surrey, BC in 1981. He was also an extraordinary hockey coach and player. His love for the game was well known and appreciated in the communities he resided in. He will be missed by all who knew him and those he touched with his quiet strength. A special, heartfelt thanks to Dr. Derrick Lowe, the Palliative Care team of White Rock Home Care, and Mila and her We Care staff. We could not have done it without you angels. A memorial service to be held at Victory Memorial Park, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC on Monday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
