ANASTASIA (SMITH) WILLIAMS Anastasia Harriet (Het) (Smith) Williams (nee Prescott) passed away November 6, 2002 in Calgary, AB at the age of 88. Born in 1914, one of eight children, Harriet grew up in St. Boniface and moved to Rainy River, ON, after marrying John James Smith in 1941 . She resided in Ontario until Johns retirement in 1968 when they moved back to Winnipeg. She was predeceased by John in 1971 and later married Jack Williams, an old acquaintance from school days. In 1986 Harriet moved to Calgary to live with her daughter and son-in-law where she remained until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, Napoleon and Louie Prescott; sisters, Dorothy, Mary, Geraldine and her one brother Frederick Prescott; five brother-in-laws, Bert Bromely, Victor Srogen, Claire Woods, David Loiselle and Edward Smith; one sister-in-law, Stef and three nephews, Bruce Woods and Donald and Victor Srogen Jr. She is survived by three sisters, Nonie Woods, Marjorie Bromely and Josephine Smith; her three children, John, Margaret and Bernadette; one son-in-law Earnest Brown; three grandchildren, John Thomas Smith, Susan Lynn Fisher and Sheryl Ann Frye and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment for Harriet will be held on Friday, May 2, at the Transcona Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. The family of Harriet invites you to come to the graveside services to say farewell and celebrate her long life.
