LENA NEUSTAEDTER
Date of Passing: Apr 27, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLENA NEUSTAEDTER Lena Neustaedter, aged 92 years, formerly of Steinbach, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 27, 2003, at Calvary Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Mom will be remembered as a loving, caring person, very devoted to her family as well as to any one else who needed a hand, a meal or a visit. One of her greatest gifts was that of hospitality. The fact that she loved to bake and cook really complemented that gift. The greatest legacy she left to us, her family, was her faith in Jesus Christ and her life of prayer. Her main desire, one she mentioned often, was that all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come to know and follow Jesus. She looked forward to a great reunion in heaven. She is survived by her children, Al (Eleanor) of Winnipeg, W.A. (Jim) Phyllis of Steinbach, Irene Giesbrecht of Winnipeg, Irmgard (Rob) Neufeld of Waterloo, IA, Waldo (Bonnie) of Steinbach; 17 grandchildren and their spouses; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother Henry (Jessie) Peters; one sister-in-law Annie Peters. She was predeceased by her husband Abram P. Neustaedter in 1974; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at the Steinbach Mennonite Church , 345 Loewen Blvd., on Friday, May 2 at 1:30 p.m., with interment to follow at the Memorial Cemetery. Our thanks especially to all the staff at Calvary Place PCH for their outstanding tender, loving care and support they gave to Mom this last year. God bless you all! If desired, donations may be made to Back to the Bible Broadcast available at the church. LOEWEN Funeral Chapel 5 Chrysler Gate, Steinbach, 326-1351
