All through her life Betty expressed gratitude to her adventures and hard-working forefathers; with kindness they looked after her daily material needs, but most especially they installed in her the Faith of the Catholic Church. Betty was baptized in St. Alphonsus Church. She received all her Sacraments from the priests of the Redemptory order. The Sisters of St. Joseph and the Sisters of the Holy Name took care of her formal education and gave her the example of Holiness and goodness to mankind. Betty was a lifelong member of the Catholic Womens League and assisted with other spiritual and temporal works of the parish. Betty enjoyed a busy life as Personal Secretary to a member of Parliament and later to a senator of the Government of Canada. The worthiness of service of both these people confirmed that Canada was the best country in the world to live.
