Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER ZAPOTOTSKY Peacefully on Tuesday, April 29th, 2003 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Peter Zapototsky of Libau, MB passed away. Peter was born in Libau, MB on June 15th, 1914 to the late Alex and Maria Zapototsky. It was here that he was raised and lived his whole life on the homestead farm. He married Mary Filip, a neighbouring farm girl in 1952. He was involved in mixed farming throughout his life and worked at Cowin Steel in Winnipeg from 1954 till his retirement in 1979. Some of his favorite past times was listening to Ukrainian and country music, watching television, playing cards and gardening. Besides his loving wife Mary, he leaves to mourn his children, Gilbert (Sandy), Norman, Randy and Shelley (Sacha) grandchildren, Christopher and Michael. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dan, Mike, John and Steve; and sisters, Eva, Pearl, Katie and Ann. Prayers will be held on Friday (tonight), May 2nd, 2003 at 8:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. also in the Chapel with Rev. Fr. Andrew Jarmus officiating. Interment will follow in the Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peters memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Ste. 200-6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB. R3L 0K6. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
