JOYCE MARYK (nee SEREDIUK) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Baba (Bobbie), aunt and friend on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 in her home at the age of 67 years. Mom was born on February 21, 1936 in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Jessie Serediuk; her brother Nicholas; and her sister-in-law Bobbie. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Darlene (Brad) McKay; her son Kevin (Emily) Maryk; five grandchildren, Cody, Ariel, Erica, Dominic and Abby. Also her brother Arthur Sereduik, her nephew John (Jackie) Sereduik, her niece Sandra (Ken) Lussier and her great-niece Kayleen. She also leaves behind her special companion, Charlie, the pug and her best friend Rita Saray. Mom loved to spend time with her family and all her grandchildren. She also loved to travel and work in her garden. The family wishes to thank Dr. S. Silagy, Dr. M. West, Dr. K. Jones and the staff at the CancerCare and the staff at the Health Sciences Centre especially Terry Kochanowski. A special thanks to Dave Hare and Dina Woodland for being there. Also Shirron, Violet and Amanda who cared for her daily as she was a member of their family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, at 2:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
