DARCIE LYNNE BAIN January 31, 1987 - May 1, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected loss of our beautiful, loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend, Darcie Lynne. She will be sadly missed by her mother and best friend Lisa, her father Dean, her little brother Justin and her loving pets Lucky Dog and Smokey Cat. Also left to mourn are her grandparents, Linda Nemec, Karl (Karen) Nemec, Edward (Val) Bain, Joyce Maryk, great-grandparents, Jessie "Baba" Bain and Vera Bernie; uncles, Darrin Nemec (Pam), Dwayne Bain, James Bain and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. She will also be sadly missed by Bill and Talon Pagan and several friends. She held a special place in her heart for Nikki, Alex, Jenna, Samantha, Sylvia and Nadine. She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Karel (Nancy) Nemec, May (James) Found, John Bain, George Bernie. Darcie was the light of our lives and was always joking around, laughing and making everyone around her smile. She loved ice cream and all animals with elephants being her favourite. Darcie also loved basketball and played with the Glenlawn Collegiate Basketball team. Her dream was to work with children when she grew up. She recently got her beginners and enjoyed stressing out her mom with her driving. Although Darcie is no longer with us in person, she will be in our hearts forever. We love you Darcie and miss you so much. You will never be forgotten. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.

Darcie.. you popped into my head the other day as I was driving by the pool behind Superstore. Remember how we all used to hang out there every day during the summer?! Especially in the park .. Shane, Chad, Liz, Dana, the whole crew! Gosh, I wish you could see it now. So much has changed over the years but one thing hasn't.. how often people think about you! You can't put a timeline on grieving, there's just no measure of it. I hope you're floating above the clouds in a beautiful place somewhere out there in another dimension. God speed Darcie.
