VICTOR JOSEPH CARRIERE It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Victor Joseph Carriere at the St. Boniface General Hospital on May 2, 2003. Victor was predeceased by his parents, brother Fred and sister Bernice. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife Alexina of 54 years, daughter Valerie and husband Jim of British Columbia, daughter Diane, son Ron and wife Shirley; grandson Jason, granddaughters, Angelina (Chris) and Melissa of British Columbia. He also leaves to mourn longtime friends as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Victor worked for Sealy Western Ltd., for 35 years. He enjoyed visiting his grandchildren, golfing, fishing and playing pool with his friends at the Royal Canadian Legion (Weston Branch). The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital for their effort and compassion. Service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. "Them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him."
