MARY LILITH (RUTH) SHAKESPEARE Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at the age of 86, Ruth passed away at Concordia Place. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Ethel Shakespeare. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind and caring ways by her brother Tom, brother Bill (Doreen) nephew David (Bonnie) niece Susan (Tim) great-nephews, Justin (Sarah), Tristan and great-nieces, Shannon and Holly. Ruth was born November 24, 1916 in Clandeboye, MB. Her family moved to Transcona during her childhood, where she resided until moving to Concordia Place in 1999. Ruth took pride in her many years of service as a postal clerk at the Transcona Post Office. She was a devout Anglican who enjoyed participating in the many activities as a member of the ACW. During her retired years, Ruths love of animals and history took her to numerous travelling destinations. At Ruths request, a private family service will be held on Saturday, May 3 at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Special thank you to the staff at Concordia Place for their loving care during her stay.
