Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA HORWAT (nee KOPYTKO) 1932 - 2003 On Thursday, May 1, 2003, Olga Horwat passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side. A devoted wife, mother, baba, great-nana, and sister, she will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Joseph; her daughters, Valerie (Ken) and Debby (Martyn) grandchildren, Lisa (Sheldon), Jaret and Wade; and great-grandchildren, Kaelyn and Taryn. Also left to cherish her memory is her brother Leonard (Eleanor), sister Marge, one nephew, three nieces and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Kopytko; and brothers, Kelvin and Peter. Mom was born on March 17, 1932 and raised on the family farm south-west of Alonsa, MB. After working in McCreary and Winnipeg for a few short years, she met and married Dad in 1951. Together they owned and operated Crescent Motors Service Station in Alonsa for 40 years. Mom enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, her Tuesday night Bingo in Kinosota and spending time with her family. Prior to the difficulties she developed with her feet, she enjoyed dancing to a good polka and waltz. Thank you to the staff of GB3, GD4 and GD5. A special thank you to Dr. Araneda at Health Sciences. Centre. Funeral service celebrating Moms life will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 10:30 am. in the Alonsa Community Centre with Fr.
