Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREINHOLD KREUTZER It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Reinhold Heinrich Kreutzer at Neepawa District Hospital on May 1, 2003. Reinhold was born September 24, 1920 in East Tupper District. He was baptized on October 31, 1920 and confirmed on April 5, 1936 at Zion Lutheran Church. He married Gertie Walker on June 29, 1951. They farmed in the Maitland District and upon retirement built a new house and moved to Plumas. Family was most important in Reinholds life. His four grandchildren and great-granddaughter brought a special twinkle to his eye. Reinhold led a very active life. Anyone who met him knew that he was a "people person". He loved to talk to people, both young and old, and was able to make a lifetime friend with a stranger. Children were drawn to Reinhold and could always count on horseback rides, treats, and the infamous ear cracking. He touched a lot of lives. Reinhold loved to hunt and travel, but his true passions were fishing, woodworking, and gardening. Anyone passing by would see Reinhold out in his yard or workshop with another project underway. He was known as Mr. Fix-It, and was able to repair anything. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 52 years Gertie, daughters, Cheryl (Kieran) Gillett, Kathy (Rick) Berry, and Lori Kreutzer; grandchildren, Ryan and Shawna Gillett, Liam and Dylan Berry, and great-granddaughter Makayla Gillett; brothers, Leonard (Evelyn) Kreutzer and Walter Kreutzer; sisters, Louise Single and Betty (Leo) Preusentanz; brother-in-law Joe Watson; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Alice Walker, along with numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Plumas on Tuesday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Tupper Cemetery. Pastors Richard Klein and Al Borchardt officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Preusentanz, Jamie Kreutzer, Tom Yandeau, Darin Walker, Armin Lach, and Howard Buffi. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may by made to Zion Lutheran Memorial Fund, Box 278, Plumas, MB R0J 1P0. Clarkes Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements. 204-385-2274. We shared 52 years of joy, happiness, and tears Managing a farm throughout the years We raised our three daughters along the way And counted our blessings everyday. Our dad taught us life is a gift to treasure Working hard and enjoying lifes pleasure And as we each left home and went our separate ways We had a lifetime of memories of our childhood days. He was our Grandpa, so big and strong When little, he walked us around and hummed songs. Hammering in the shed was always a treat And when we came to visit there was the drawer full of sweets. I loved sitting on Great Papas knee. He talked and read my stories to me. Although Ive only known him for a little while He made me giggle and always smile. Reinhold was always ready to lend a hand. There was never a time he would let things stand. He was always outside puttering around, And loved meeting his friends for coffee uptown.
