JOHN MISKO Peacefully at the Holy Family Nursing Home with his wife at his side, on Saturday, May 3, 2003 John passed away at the age of 87 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Anne; daughter Joan Stefanik; sons, John (Susan) and Bill; grandchildren, Stacey (Ben McDougall) and Dan; sisters, Anne (Chuck Wagner) and Jean Dobrinsky. John was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Mary Misko. He was employed for 40 years with Richard Wilcox until retirement in 1980. Dad will remain in our hearts forever - truly a very special man who lived his life for his family, his fiddle and his walking. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the nurses and caregivers at the Holy Family Nursing Home for their care and compassion. In tears we saw you sinking We watched you fade away You suffered most in silence You fought so hard to stay You faced your task with courage Your spirit did not bend But still you kept on fighting Until the very end Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with Fr. Karl Tarnopolski officiating. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
