GERARD PATRICK GILLIGAN Sadly, on May 5, 2003, Gerard Gilligan, beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at Victoria Hospital. Gerard will be sorely missed by his son Casey; sisters, Patricia and Mary (Davis) brothers, Desmond and Francis; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Gerard was educated at St. Pauls High School in Winnipeg, and after working with the Royal Bank of Canada, he served in the Royal Canadian Navy. After his Naval service, he was employed at the University of Manitoba until his recent retirement. A shy and modest man, Gerry possessed a keen intelligence, broad interests, a great sense of humour and an enormously loving heart. He was good company and a blessing to our lives. Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
