EMMA GABLE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Our Dear Aunt Emma on May 5, 2003 at the Grace Hospital. Emma was 91 years old. She is survived by her sister-in-law Millie Gable; niece Janice Wolfe and husband Harvey; great-niece Kristy Proutt and husband Russ; great-nephew Greg Shippam and great-great-nephew Ethan Proutt; as well as special cousins, Robert Bernhardt and Irene Mitchell and husband Jim. Emma was a hard worker at Bonar & Bemis where she worked with her sister Margaret, for 50 years. Emma had many friends that were important in her life. Her participation in a sewing club that became the 39 Club resulted in lifelong friendships. She and her sister Margaret were active bowlers in the Polo Park 5-pin Bowling League for many years. Emma was also a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. One of her favourite passions was spending time with her niece and her children. Recently her special Angel Ethan brought her great joy. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their kindness and care over the past year and a half. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9, at 2:00 p.m., at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street).
