JOSEPH ZUBRISKI It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Gee Gee, Joseph Zubriski on May 5, 2003. Joe resided most of his 88 years in Vidir and then in Arborg, MB. Joe leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 60 years, Olga; his children and grandchildren, Grace (Justin, Cristin, Jordan) Chudyk of Winnipeg, Laurence (Shirley, Nicole) Zubriski of Winnipeg, Eugene (Mary Ann, Tyler, Brendan) Zubriski of Arborg, MB, Bernice (Roy, Meaghan, Morghan) Okaluk of Ste. Anne, MB, Marcel/Johnny (Judy, Stephanie, Bryce) Zubriski of Winnipeg; brother Mike Zubriski and numerous nieces and nephews will also mourn his passing. Joe was predeceased by his son Norman and son-in-law Steve Chudyk. Joe spent his life devoted to the Okna Church and then the Arborg Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he served as Cantor. His love of children was evident in his job of 13 years as school bus driver for the Evergreen School Division. Anyone that rode on Bus No. 5 would remember his generosity, for there was always a goody bag at Christmas and a marshmallow egg at Easter, not only for his bus kids but also for the little ones at home. Poor Gee Gee, he could never cross his legs without four or five of his grandkids coming on for "Hoida", for this we will always remember. We will always love you, for your smile was always our sunshine. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Tudor House in Selkirk for their compassion and excellent professional care. Joe will be laid to rest by his grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Tyler, Brendan, Bryce, and Morghan. Honorary pallbearers will be Cristin, Nicole, Meaghan, and Stephanie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Box 895, Arborg, MB R0C 0A0. Prayers will be said on Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Arborg on Saturday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Hayak Cemetery, Vidir, MB. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.
