DENNIS BEARDY March 8, 1951 - May 6, 2003 With sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother, uncle, father and grandfather, Dennis Beardy of Winnipeg, MB on May 6, 2003 at the age of 52 years. Dennis will be sadly missed by his brothers, Thomas (Rosie) Beardy, Victor (Angela) Beardy of Fairford, MB, George (Lydia) Beardy of Lake St. Martin; his only daughter Veronica Gunn of Winnipeg; sons, Gideon and Theodore Daniels of Grand Rapids First Nation; several grand-children; brother-in-law William Ryle of Lake St. Martin; uncles, Edward Bone and Victor Bone of Winnipeg; special nieces, Priscilla Stagg and Jolene Ballantyne; special nephew William Beardy; also many friends in Winnipeg. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Charles (1981) and Harriet (1989) friend Colleen Daniels (1985) sisters, Kathleen Ryle (1994) and Priscilla Sinclair (1969) brothers, Samuel Beardy (2000), Joseph Beardy (1981) and Douglas (1974) nephews, Brenton Beardy (2003), Mervin Ryle (1992) and Wilfred Ryle (1970) aunt Rosie Robinson (2003) stepbrother John Charles Beardy (2002) stepsister Christina Cook (2002). Dennis was born and raised in Lake St. Martin, where he continued to live until he moved to Winnipeg in 1977. While on the reserve, he spent most of his time fishing, hunting and trapping with his brother-in-law William. Dennis was affectionately close to his sister Kathleen Ryle and was devastated upon her passing. He never complained about his difficulties, but lived through them quietly and with courage. Dennis always talked about his sons, Gideon and Theodore, and the time they were born. Though he spent the greater half of his life in Winnipeg, he never ceased to let his brothers know that he was willing to come and visit them anytime they requested. Dennis was familiar with the faith practiced by his family and shared the belief of the imminent arrival of the Saviour. During his short stay in the hospital, he clearly indicated his hope for Gods salvation. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Riverview Health Centre for their care, the Lake St. Martin Chief and Council, and to Councillor Claude Ross. Wake service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lake St. Martin Faith Chapel, with Pastor Henry Demaria and Jim Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Lake St. Martin Cemetery. Psalm 16: 8,9 Arrangements Entrusted To: ANDERSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Ashern, MB1-866-293-4951
