PATRICIA MAUDE COOK It is with a great deal of sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Patricia Maude Cook on March 21, 2003 at the Poseidon Care Centre. Patricia was born in Winnipeg on June 17, 1917 the youngest of five siblings to Cecil Miller and Margaret Atkinson. She was predeceased by her sisters, Iris Hutchings, Edith Alexander, Ethel Taylor; her brother Cecil Miller; and husband Steven Michael Cook. She leaves her sons, Donald (Marie) and Brian (Stephani) six grandchildren, Dawn (Dan) Kingsbury, Patrick (Catherine) Cook, Michael (Stacie) Cook, Kevin Cook (Dana Klatt), Christopher Cook (Gina Desjardins) and Benjamin Cook. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Adam and Brady Kingsbury, MacKenzie and Morgan Cook and Alexis Cook. She will be missed by special friends Pam and Ron Piett and their daughter Shannon, also Frank and Margo Wedelake and Keitha Semple. Patricia started her sales career with McKinneys Jewellers, then moved to Eatons and worked for Eatons in Winnipeg and Hamilton. She retired from Eatons when she and Dad moved back home to Winnipeg in 1978. Mom was a kind and gentle woman who loved her family; she loved a good joke and always laughed at her brothers corny stories. She will be sadly missed. Special thanks to the staff on the fourth floor at the Poseidon Care Centre where Mom spent her last years. Particular thanks to Marjorie Broughton who watched over Mom. A celebration of Patricias life will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dr. Arthur Thompson officiating. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: EDWARD J. COUTU LTD. 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
