Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN DE JAEGER (NEE HOLLAND) Peacefully, on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer, Jean De Jaeger of Winnipeg, MB passed away with her family by her side at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 82 years. Jean is survived by her beloved husband George of 62 years of marriage; daughter Janice Windsor (Dennis) son Laurent "Lorne" De Jaeger (Audrey) all of Winnipeg; daughter Lorraine Powelson (Dennis) of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Margaret, Ivy and Winnie; four brothers, Harold, Ernie, George and Lorne; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Fred; two brothers, Claude and William; four sisters, Sylvie, Cissie, Kitty and Dorothy. All were blessed by the legacy she leaves. She embraced life with a true spirit of caring and concern for others. Her heart and home were open to everyone. She was especially fond of babies. Jean grew up in West Kildonan and kept in touch with her friends from that community throughout her life. She was a long term employee of The Bay. In compliance with Jeans wishes, our family will be having a private graveside service. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre. Jean deeply appreciated all the support from her many friends and neighbours during her illness.
