ANNE MARIE DOUGLOSKI (nee SCHNERCH) Peacefully, at the Misericordia Health Care Centre on Saturday, May 10, 2003, Anne went to join her husband Walter, who had predeceased her in 2001. Anne is survived by her two daughters, Betty (Gerry) Murray and Judy (Doug) Schnell. Anne will also be missed by her grandchildren, Sean (Michelle) Murray, Robert (Laura) Murray, Marina (Merv) Loewen, Erin (Jeff) Currie, Rhonda (Gord) Funk and Geoffrey Schnell; also 14 great-grandchildren. Anne was born April 15, 1919 and was raised in Gimli, MB. She was married to Walter on November 20, 1936 in Winnipeg. Anne loved to reminisce about the time she spent living in Kewene, ON, and her frequent visits to cottage country in Ophir, ON. Some of her many enjoyments came from curling, fishing, bingo, and cooking her ethnic holiday dinners for her family. Although her latter years were spent caring for her ailing husband Walter, she still thrived on having family get togethers. The family would like to extend a very warm thank you for the care given to Anne in these last months, both at Misericordia Health Care Centre and the Concordia Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14 at St. Bernadettes Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd. at 1:30 p.m. with viewing prior to mass. Fr. C. Fred Olds officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers it is requested that you make a donation to a charity of your choice in Annes name.
