SIMONE DROLET McCARTHY (nee SABOURIN) In her sleep, Friday, May 9, 2003, Mom left this world for the next, leaving behind all those who loved her dearly. Left to mourn her passing are sons, Denis Drolet and wife Eva Drolet (of Letellier), Gerald Drolet and wife Sherri Drolet (currently living in Malaysia) daughter Doris Pruden and husband Greg Pruden (of Winnipeg). Also left to mourn are grandchildren, Angela Creek and husband Brian Creek (of Winnipeg), Dale Drolet (of Winnipeg) and Jessie and Noel Pruden (of Winnipeg). She also leaves behind her sister Therese Fillion (of Winnipeg) as well as many relatives and friends. Moms greatest pride in her life was her family. She was truly a wonderful mother in every sense of the the word. Her number one priority was making certain that everyone within the family circle felt happy and secure. She shared in the many joys of our accomplishments, and never waivered to support us in our times of need. We will be forever grateful for the love and kindness she showered upon us throughout our lives. We pray that she finds peace and comfort with her Saviour, and in the open arms of our dad, who has waited for her for many years. Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the doctors and nurses on the 6th floor and in Palliative Care at the Saint-Boniface Hospital, who cared for Mom. They acted with both compassion and professionalism. Special thanks to our sister-in-law Eva Drolet for arranging to make Moms stay at the hospital as comfortable as possible. We would also like to thank family members and friends who came to see Mom during her illness. We appreciate the care our mother received at Centre Tache. Prayers will be held Tuesday, May 13, 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass and interment will be celebrated in St. Jean Baptiste, Wednesday, May 14, 2:00 p.m. A lunch and reception at the St. Jean Centennial Hall will follow the service.
