PAUL PLASESKI Peacefully in his sleep, Paul passed away early Saturday morning May 10, 2003 at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 77. He is survived by his loving wife Emily of 55 years, his daughter Judy Weller (Bob), son Rick (Mike Gosselin), son-in-law Ken Hoglund, and grandchildren, James, Sean and Lindy Weller, Brett and Kelda Hoglund. He was recently predeceased by his beloved daughter Susan Hoglund. He also leaves to mourn his brothers, Joseph (Min), Nick (Mae), Victor (Joyce), and Robert (Lori) sister-in-law Dint Thom (Alec) and brother-in-law Walter Richards, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was born and raised in Portage La Prairie and worked throughout southern Manitoba until he settled in Winnipeg in 1961. He worked for MTS for over 30 years. Paul was an avid reader and a prized crossword puzzle solver. He enjoyed photography, fishing, aviation and was a member of the Winnipeg Gun Club. He shared a special love of gardening with his daughter Susan. He and his brothers formed Brott Mining Company and spent many a weekend in search of gold. He will be fondly remembered for his sweet tooth and fondness for Ukrainian food. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Wereschuk Funeral Chapel, 447 Selkirk Ave. In his memory, donations can be made to Guardian Angel Breast Cancer Benefits, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
