SHEILA MARGARET JACKSON Sheila Margaret Jackson passed away on May 11, 2003 in Victoria, BC. Sheila was predeceased by parents Easton Spence Shiach (1958) and Isabel Shiach (1964) and husband Steve Jackson (1999). She will be sadly missed by her brother Spence (Ferelith) Shiach, nephew Don (Georgie) Shiach, niece Cathy (Neil) Feir, and great-nieces Kristin, Nancy, Allison, Katie and great-nephew Jeffrey, all of Winnipeg, nephew Bob (Colleen) Shiach and great-niece Kathryn, Smithers, sister-in-law Ainley Jackson, Vancouver, niece Margaret Becker and great-niece Niki Florida; her cousins Stewart (Janet) Scott, Scotland and Janet (Henry) Molloy, England. Born on December 18, 1919, in Winnipeg, MB, Sheila worked with Trans Canada Airlines in Winnipeg from 1938 until 1955 and with the B.C. Forest Service from 1956 until her retirement in 1984. Sheila will be remembered by her many friends in Victoria, Vancouver and Winnipeg. She was a member of the Victoria Ladies Curling Club, the 800 (Pacific) RCAF Wing, the One-Wingers Club, and the Lakehill Lawn Bowling Club. She led an active life and was always interested in learning and expanding her knowledge. She had great memories of paddling with the Winnipeg Canoe Club. Travelling to curling events, singing with the Crystal Singers choral group, and playing bridge kept her on the move. Sheila will be remembered as a generous, passionate and fun loving person. The family wishes to thank those many friends who have helped care for Sheila when there were difficult times. A special thanks to friends Lil and Gerry Walls and her goddaughter Lori Ferguson. Service of Remembrance will be conducted by Reverend Don Walls from MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Friday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. Tributes, if desired, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.
