Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUREL PINCOVICH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Aurel Pincovich at the age of 67 on April 28, 2003 with his family at his side after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Aurel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rochelle (Heft) children, Miriam (Mario) Burke and Leon; and grandchildren, Samuel, Madeleine and Isabelle. Aurel will also be remembered by his dear Aunt Etty Bihman (late Haim) cousins, Rica and Ricky Solomon; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sybil and Dr. Manly Rubin of Minneapolis, MN. Aurel was born in Romania on February 14, 1936, the only son of Leon and Zelda Pincovich. He came to Winnipeg in 1967 where he met and married Rochelle. Aurel spent most of his career as owner of Textiles la Mode fabric store and later Factory Fashions clothing outlet. In recent years, Aurel enjoyed working with the DeLuca family in the food business, where he cultivated and cherished a close relationship with the entire DeLuca family. Aurel had a warm and fantastic personality and was constantly surrounded by an aura of personal magnetism and good humour. Aurel had a deep and abiding love for people and that love was returned in kind. Special thanks to Dr. Czaykowski, Kristie and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, and to the staff in the ICU at Health Sciences Centre, for all their care and concern. Funeral service was held at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, April 30 with Rabbi Alan Green and Cantor Annibal Mass officiating. Interment was at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews, Dr. Harry Rubin, Hart, Richard and Shayne Robinson; cousins, Ivan Berkowitz, Dr. Lionel Bercovitch, Alan Schaffer and Noel Solomon. Donations in Aurels memory may be sent to the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, Aurel Pincovich Memorial Fund or The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, in care of Asper Jewish Community Campus, 123 Doncaster St. We sincerely thank all our dear family and friends for their love and support during Aurels illness and the difficult days which followed. Aurel will be deeply missed.
