Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRECAREDO "RIC" MEDINA December 28, 1937 - May 12, 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Recaredo Medina on Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Victoria General Hospital. Left to cherish Rics memory is his loving wife Irene Medina; his children, Raymund, Rick (Michelle), Christina (Thomas), and Sarah (Rico). He is also survived by his brother Ramiro (Ling) sister-in-law Arni, sister-in-law Nena, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends, both near and far. Ric was predeceased by his father Ramon; mother Rosario, and brothers, Rene and Raul. Ric was born in Taal, Batangas, Philippines. He graduated with a Law degree from Ateneo University. He soon met the love-of-his-life Irene and they were married in 1965. He spent his entire career working with the grain industry in the Philippines; San Francisco, CA and Winnipeg with Cargill Ltd. and most recently Agricore United. Ric was devoted to his family, loved going out with friends and volunteered his time with various Filipino community organizations. Our family is grateful for the kindness and care given to dad by the medical staff at Victoria General Hospital. We appreciate the many friends and family who have shared with us their experience and memories of our dad. Viewing will take place on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16 at Garry Memorial, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. from 6:00 p.m. to Midnight. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 85 Kirkbridge with Father Carl officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rics memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or the Canadian Liver Foundation, 2235 Sheppard Ave. E., Suite 1500, Toronto, ON M2J 5B5.
