Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE STARKEY April 20, 1915 - May 10, 2003 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our dear father and granddad George Starkey at the age of 88. With his daughter Janet at his side, George passed away at the Peach Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC. George is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Thelma Starkey and will be lovingly remembered by his son Michael (Lise) of Winnipeg, and his daughter Janet Sillett (Norman) of Liverpool, England, as well as grandsons, Stuart and Peter (Caroline), and granddaughters, Trish, Genevieve, (Nathan), Sara, and Lolita; as well as eight great-grandchildren. George was born in Birmingham, England on April 20, 1915, and came to Canada in 1977 with his wife Thelma to retire. Cremation has taken place at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in White Rock. At Georges request there will be a reception to celebrate his life on Saturday, May 17 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at his home in White Rock. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of their choice in Georges memory.
