JESSIE PENNER Jessie Penner was born on November 17, 1913 in Alexandrowsk, Ukraine. She came to Canada in 1926. She worked as a housemaid until she married Jacob G. Penner on April 3, 1937. They settled on a farm at Oak Bluff where they raised seven daughters and one son. She devoted her life to her three severely mentally and physically challenged daughters. Mother loved the farm, her garden and flowers. In 1983 she moved to Waller Ave. Winnipeg, MB. She babysat many children while the parents vacationed. Mom was a friendly, generous person, with a simple faith that God would rescue her in times of need. She carried her burdens without complaint. Moms advancing Alzheimers necessitated moves to Bethel Place, The Rosewood and Bethania Personal Care Home. We as a family extend our deepest appreciation for the wonderful care and love she received from all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband Jake in 1971, a daughter Laura in 1991, and two sons-in-law, John Rempel and David Bethune. We celebrate her life and rejoice that she is at peace at last. Aufwiedersehn!
