PAUL WERESTIUK Peacefully at Vita and District Health Centre on May 13, 2003, Paul Werestiuk of Winnipeg, formerly of Sundown, passed away at the age of 64. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kathy; and his two daughters, Gale (Tim) Burridge of Winnipeg, and Carol Swerid of Winnipeg and his seven grandchildren, Amanda, Staci and Christina and Travis, Alyssa, Blayze and Shyana. He is also survived by his mother Jean Werestiuk; brothers, Mike (Jean), Bill (Helen), Stan (Daphne), Nick and sister Mary (Jim) Symynyshen and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Michael in 1980. The family wishes to thank Dr. Karen Humphreys for her compassionate care and the staff of Vita and District Health Centre for their support during this difficult time. Prayers and viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB on Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy and Interment will take place in Sundown at Ascension of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ihor Royik officiating.
