WALTER YAWORSKI It is with sadness, we announce the passing of Walter peacefully at home on May 13, 2003 at age 66, after a brave battle with cancer. Walter was born in Winnipeg and had fond memories of his childhood days growing up in the North End and time spent on his grand-parents farm in Gimli. As a young man he worked in the Hilton, the family restaurant at 812 Main and later in the hospitality business in Port Moody, BC. Walter had a keen sense for business and was a voracious reader. Special interests were world events, photography, nature and the wonders of the universe. He was predeceased by parents, Anne and Louis. He leaves to mourn his four-legged soulmate K.C. (Purr-Purr), wife Myrna and sister Eleanor. Many thanks to Dr. A. Schroeder, Grace Emergency staff, Dr. Gary Schroeder, Palliative and Home Care staff for their care and kindness during Walters illness. A very special thanks to very special friends whose support was invaluable. Anyone wishing to do so, may make a donation in Walters memory to the Agape Hospice Fund, care of The Grace General Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with a graveside service to take place at Dnister Cemetery, Gimli, MB on Friday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ken Pawluk officiating. Peace at last CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
