FRANCES MITCHELL (nee PEARSON) 1924 - 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Frances Mitchell. Frances was born March 19, 1924, in Winnipeg and recently celebrated her 79 year. Mom passed away on Tuesday May 13, 2003 with family at her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mom was predeceased by mother Sarah; her father Albert and her husband Larry. Mom is survived by her children, Ron (Fran) of Calgary, Ken (Partner Michael) of Vancouver, Brian (Susan) of Basano, Darlene (Doug) of Winnipeg, and Lorne (Nancy) of Winnipeg; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; also her very dear friend Ruby Miller; and niece Judy. She will be missed by many good friends, also brother Albert and twin brother Francis (Frank). Funeral service will be held Friday, May 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with interment to follow. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be.
