ROBERT T KOST July 6, 1936 - May 13, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, papa and friend. Robert lived his life in Lac du Bonnet. He was happiest when spending time laughing with his family. He was generous with his time and possessions and was dedicated to his wife, Grace, children, Karen, Anthony and Jonathan, their spouses Kenny, Shawn and Ingrid. Robert always had a special love of children. Papa shared a wonderful bond with his grandson Lucas and was always proud of Melissa and Clayton. Robert loved painting. He made his living as an artist capturing the landscape and life of the people of Manitoba and the prairies. His works hang in collections and households across the country. Nobody has ever painted Lake Winnipeg or seasons of the Prairies better. He was a true gem to those that know him and his work. Robert was also a first-class bluegrass fiddler; musicians and friends will cherish the memories of many great sessions. Playing music was a tradition in both the Kost and Nejedly families. The love and appreciation of music continues to carry on in the Kost family. Roberts summer passion was golf. He enjoyed the camaraderie and banter of his golf buddies on the course and in the coffee shop. He loved entertaining at his home where his door and fridge were always open. A celebration of Roberts life will be held on Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Anthony and Shawn, 329 Zolondek Rd. Robert loved all animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. WE MISS YOU PAPA!
