Mac was born in Brussels, ON on March 24, 1929 and came to Manitoba in 1949. On July 25, 1959 Mac married Muriel Sholdice and settled in Winnipeg where they built a loving home. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Muriel; his daughter Tammy and son-in-law Denis Breland, son Trevor and daughter-in-law Rose and his much loved granddaughters, Tiffany and Twyla Breland and Laura Stiles. He is also survived by three sisters, Alice Stiles, Seaforth, ON, Dorothy (George) McMichan, Guelph, ON, Barbara Stiles, London, ON and five brothers, Murray (Ruth), Bolton, ON, Stewart (Joan), London, ON, Gordon (Jean), Stratford, ON, John (Donna), Rimbey, AB., Ted (Shirley), Kitchener, ON. Mac was predeceased by his parents, William and Sarah Stiles; two sisters, Louies (Bill Easter) and Annie (Bill Speirs) three brothers, Dr. Wm. C. (Edith), Joseph (Peg) and Alan. Many happy memories of Mac will remain with us. His wonderful sense of humour, his devotion to his family and his willingness to help others were just a few of his wonderful qualities. Mac worked for Quinton Cleaners for 34 years. He was keenly interested and attended all the activities his family participated in. He loved his curling with the Pembina Oldtimers, the Antique Car Club and dancing with the Grand Squares. Mac and Muriel toured Scotland and England with Tammy and the Heather Belle Ladies Pipe Band. They also went on several bus tours through the States and traveled across Canada. Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our friends and neighbours for their support and thoughtfulness. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Interment to follow.
