Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHNNY PETER (WALLY) ROSHICK It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Peter, at the age of 82 years, while in Oakbank on Monday, May 12, 2003. Peter was born to parents, Mark and Magda on February 12, 1921 and grew up in the R.M. of Springfield. He was a veteran of the Second World War, and saw action in Sicily, Italy and Holland. When he returned home, he worked for many years at Simmons Construction, rising to the position of company foreman. Later he moved on to become the supervisor of the silica sand plant on Black Island, where he earned the affectionate nickname of the Sandman. In later years, he moved to a small farm outside Libau, where he lived until his death. He enjoyed playing golf, and was a member at Pine Ridge Golf Club until arthritis forced him to give it up. Peter was an afternoon regular, visiting with friends at the Selkirk MacDonalds, where many a spirited discussion could be heard. Peter is survived by his son Robert, brother Paul, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Linda, his sisters, Amy, Annie, Mary, Susan and Teena, and his brothers, Joseph, Michael, and Steven. There will be no service in accordance with Peters wishes. Cremation and interment have taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Peters name may be made to a charity of your choice. If you think of me and cry, dont think of me at all. But if you think of me and smile, think of me often. Rock Fontaine Funeral Services in care of arrrangements 223-2576
