NORMAN FRANCIS Norman "Chief" passed away suddenly on May 15, 2003 in his home in his 73rd year. Predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years - Rosemarie and his parents, Nimrod and Marjorie. He will be sadly missed by his sons and daughters - Jim (Andrea), Wayne (Joan) - Vernon, BC, Noreen (Peter), Gloria (Brian), Carol (Ron) - Hadashville, MB and 14 grand-children and one great-grandchild. He leaves behind a sister Margaret (Tom Smears) and three brothers - Gordie (June) - Calgary, Jim (Edna), Douglas - Vancouver and many nieces and nephews. Dad was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the Lord Strathcona Horse Regiment and he remained in the army for 12 years and achieved the rank of Sargent - after leaving the army dad owned his own Taxi Cab and drove it for well over 30 years. Dad always had a smile on his face and always saw the good in everyone - he was a modest, kind and gentleman to all who knew him and was very proud of his children who also were proud of him. Dad overcame great adversity early in his life and was better man, husband and father for it. A celebration of Normans life will be held on June 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Church, 1735 Corydon Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations to ALS Foundation would be appreciated. WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL
