PETER KLYM It is with the deepest sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter Klym, beloved husband, father and grandfather on Monday, May 19, 2003 at the Beausejour District Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Stella; son Barry (Rosemarie) daughters, Cheryl (Jim) Urbanski and Bev (Brian) Schreyer; grandchildren, Angie and Erin Klym; Jennifer and Kristin Urbanski and Craig Schreyer; as well as one brother, four sisters, one sister-in-law and numerous nephews and nieces. Peter was predeceased by his infant son John; parents Fred and Maria, four brothers and four sisters. Peter was born in the R.M. of Brokenhead on May 16, 1917. He attended school in Green Oak, worked in the mines in Flin Flon, and with Petersons in Pulp and Paper in Kenora, ON. He was a Cantor for St. Demetrius and surrounding parishes. He was also a School Trustee and Secretary Treasurer at Bonar Law School; a bus driver for Agassiz School Division; worked for Canada Messenger and was an Honorary member of the Mooswa Lake Snow Riders. Music was an important part of Dads life as he enjoyed singing and playing violin. He began his farming career by developing his home yardsite in 1944. He was later married in 1946 and continued to work with his wife and family on the farm to where it is today, until his demise. His passion was farming but he most enjoyed family gatherings. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday May 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ladywood, with Rev. Fr. Ivan Demkiv the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
